What is KidzToPros Live?

KidzToPros Live is a series of online enrichment programs that are taught in real-time to groups of no more than 10 students. Programs in STEM, Sports & Arts are designed to supplement students’ education, at an affordable price

To attend, children will need a desktop or laptop computer, a solid wi-fi connection and a cozy chair or a couch!

Programs run Monday thru Friday beginning at 9:30 am and run from 3 to 5 hours a day (dependent on student’s grade). Programs are offered specific to each time zone in the U.S.

How many students are in each program?

Each program is taught LIVE by a dedicated instructor to groups of 5 to 10 students, depending on the specific course. The small group size provides a fun and supportive environment where students can easily follow along with the instructor, ask questions and interact with other students in the group.

When are online programs offered?

All programs are offered in real-time, Monday thru Friday beginning at 9:30 a.m. and lasting between 3 and 5 hours. Programs are offered specific to each time zone within the U.S. (i.e. we offer programs that start at 9:30 am in each time zone)

What online courses are offered?

Activities for each online program are determined by grade level. We offer Combination courses that include STEM, Arts and sports activities for kids in grades K thru 5. These programs run between 2 and 4 hours each day. The variety of activities will improve your child’s critical thinking skills, spark their creativity, and get them moving!

We also offer single-subject Immersion Courses for kids in grades 2 thru 8. These online courses last between 1 and 5 hours per day (dependent on subject) and provide concentrated learning in a specific technology or art subject.

How do online courses work?

Students participate in a virtual classroom with professional instructors and no more than 5 to 10 students (dependent on the course). Instructors and students can share their screens and co-annotate for a more interactive meeting. Everyone can interact via microphone or chat.

KidzToPros has selected ZOOM as our video conferencing software. It’s simple to install and easy to use. At least one day prior to the start of the course, we ask all parents to visit https://zoom.us/download to download and install “Zoom Client for Meetings” on your laptop or desktop computer.

Prior to the first day of each course, we will send parents a unique ZOOM link that they’ll use every day to join the virtual classroom for their child’s program.

What Zoom setting does KidzToPros implement to ensure children's safety?

At KidzToPros, ensuring children’s safety is a top priority, whether we are teaching those students in person or online.

KidzToPros Zoom account is managed internally by KidzToPros full-time staff only. Our staff creates a Zoom virtual classroom for each KidzToPros live online course. A unique Zoom link for each course is sent to participating parents via email only. Zoom links are never posted on our website, social media channels or any other public forum.

The Waiting Room feature is enabled for all courses in Zoom. This means the instructor will need to approve each participant entering the virtual classroom.

Do you have any ground rules for online discussion?

To encourage participation from all students in our online courses and make sure that all students are getting the maximum value from their online enrichment experience, KidzToPros has put in place "Ground Rules for Online Discussions".

Instructors will review the following guidelines with all students at the start of their respective courses.

- Be Present and On Time: One of the key benefits of online learning with a small group is the participation and interaction of all students. We understand that situations arise that may cause a child to miss a day. In this case, we request that parents contact KidzToPros in advance of the course start time to understand what their child will be missing and any work that will need to be completed prior to the next session.

We ask that all children connect to their ZOOM virtual classroom no less than 10 minutes prior to the start of their course each day. This will allow parents to address any technical issue, allow the instructor to check everyone in at the same time, and ensure all students stay at the same pace in the day’s session.

- Participate: A shared online learning experience provides the maximum benefit when all students participate and share their ideas and feedback. KidzToPros instructors strongly encourage all students to contribute to the conversations.

- Help Others: We strive to create an open learning environment where students interact with and support each other. We recognize that some students may have more experience in a given topic than their peers. We encourage those students to share their knowledge and provide help to bring other students up to speed.

- Respect Each Other: KidzToPros virtual classrooms are a safe space for children, regardless of their race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, disability and socioeconomic status. Derogatory comments, jokes and offensive language that marginalize anyone is not acceptable. Should a child become disrespectful to their instructor or other participants in the course, we will take immediate action to protect the mental and emotional well-being of all children. We will contact all relevant parents to discuss the child’s behavior and determine appropriate action.

- Don’t Hesitate to Provide Feedback: Our goal is to create an online learning experience that is educational, engaging and entertaining. Feedback is an essential component to making sure we succeed in our goal. We encourage students (and their parents) to share their experience with their instructor and with the team at KidzToPros.

Question 9

If I sign up and my child cannot make the course, will I receive a refund?

Accepted Answer

KidzToPros Live Online Courses are non-refundable. However, if you decide to cancel your child’s registration, the purchase price for the cancelled session will be credited to your KidzToPros account. Your credit can be applied to any KidzToPros offering in 2020 or 2021.

If you wish to transfer your registration to another KidzToPros online course, camp or after-school program, simply contact us via email at contact@kidztopros.com and we will assist you with applying your credit to another program. The same policy will apply should KidzToPros deem it necessary to cancel a course to protect the health and safety of its students and staff, or due to other unforeseen circumstances.
