Health & safety is our #1 priority

KidzToPros top priority is the health and safety of all program participants and our staff. We have successfully hosted thousands of kids at on-campus camps and after-school programs since June 2020, with no reported cases of COVID-19.

Based on state and county COVID-19 guidelines, KidzToPros will continue to implement protocols that ensure all kids can socialize, take on exciting learning challenges and have fun, in a safe and healthy environment.

Program Cohorts

Camper cohorts
  • Children will be organized into cohorts of 12 or less participants.
  • Cohorts from each program will not commingle unless they are outdoors and at a safe social distance.
  • Each cohort will have their own restroom.

Staff and Participants Screening

Camper and staff screening
  • All KidzToPros staff are COVID-tested prior to teaching a program.
  • KidzToPros will conduct a preliminary health screening of program participants with a quick email survey to parents prior to the first day of their program.
  • Upon arrival each day, all staff and children will be checked for fever with a contactless infrared thermometer.
  • KidzToPros staff will make sure all children are healthy and free from symptoms of COVID-19 (shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, etc) and have not been exposed to anyone who has tested positive within the two weeks prior to the start of their program.
  • Throughout the day, instructors and coaches will monitor children to make sure they do not develop symptoms of COVID-19. Anyone demonstrating a fever, repeated coughing and/or any symptoms of COVID-19 will be sent home.

Social Distancing

Contact reduction
  • All staff and program participants will maintain a social distance of six feet, with the exception of coaches and instructors needing to provide support to participants.
  • Games and activities are structured with no physical contact between children.
  • We request parents and guardians not go beyond the drop-off and pick-up area at each location. As possible, we ask that all parents/guardians remain in cars. A member of KidzToPros staff will direct traffic and lead each child to/from their car.
  • Depending on the number of children at the camp location, KidzToPros may stagger drop-off and pick-up times to avoid traffic and longer than expected drop-off and pick-up wait times.

Handwashing

Handwashing and sanitizing
  • Hand-washing will be a regular program activity and plenty of hand sanitizer will be placed around campus. All participants will be instructed to wash hands at the start of their program, during each break, and before and after lunch.
  • KidzToPros will display prominent visual reminders of proper hand-washing techniques.

Sanitizing

Safety training
  • At the start of each day’s program and at the end of each day, all equipment, classrooms, desks and tables will be cleaned and sanitized with EPA-approved disinfectant.
  • KidzToPros will provide designated supplies and equipment for each participant so they will not be sharing with other participants.
  • In the rare event that equipment is shared between participants or cohorts on the same day, it will be sanitized prior to transfer to a new participant or cohort.

Face Masks

Masking and distancing
  • KidzToPros will follow the guidelines and protocols for face masks as provided by the health departments in each county in which we operate our camps.
  • Currently, all counties are requiring face masks for staff and campers. We will continue to monitor each county health department and inform parents of any changes to the guidelines for both indoor and outdoor camps.
