KidzToPros Micro-school Pods support families whose children are not enrolled in their school’s distance learning program and who wish to work with a credentialed teacher on grade-level learning.
A KidzToPros Teacher will be responsible for the pod’s education, including setting up grade-specific curriculums, providing needed materials, continually assessing each child’s progress, adjusting the curriculum as needed, and submitting any needed reports.

Pod CurriculumKidzToPros Micro-school teachers bring a wealth of classroom experience implementing and adapting curriculum for diverse students. Teachers start with a baseline library of research-based, standards-aligned curriculum. Teachers use these resources to individualize lessons for their students based on assessment and observation. They will also leverage their teaching experience to responsively meet each child’s needs, in small groups or individually. Daily pod meetings will incorporate social-emotional learning activities and mindsets. Teachers’ unique strengths will provide opportunities for physical and artistic activities as well. Project-based learning will be a regular part of the schedule for application and integration of academic skills and knowledge in interdisciplinary units. STEM projects will be incorporated into the curriculum and digital citizenship will be integrated in authentic and proactive ways.
Pod Safety and HealthKidzToPros’ top priority is ensuring the health and safety of all students, staff and families involved with KidzToPros Micro-school Pods. KidzToPros will work with each family to ensure their home is set-up to safely and continuously support on-site learning. At a minimum, this includes daily temperature checks, social distancing, correct wearing of masks, frequent hand washing and rigorous cleaning of the designated Pod space. Guidelines will be provided to every family in the pod and all must agree to take the appropriate measures to prevent COVID-19, both during school hours and at home.
